When I first got started online in 2004 I never made a single dime for over 2 years. I struggled the entire time and was completely frustrated… I was mesmerized by all the other people who where making hundreds, even “thousands of dollars a day so easily”.
I remember the day when I decided enough was enough… I’m going to share this story with you now, even though it’s really embarrassing. You need to know how deep down in the rabbit hole I went before I discovered the secret I’m going to share with you today.
It was late on a Friday afternoon in July, the sun was shinning, Tim and I where on our way back from the job site about 40 minutes away from the shop.
And the reason I remember that is going to be really clear in just a moment. The boss called Tim on his cell phone and let him know he wanted to speak with me when I got back.
At first I thought “what could this be about?” … “maybe a promotion” I said to Tim, after all, I had been working my ass off and my next raise was 3 months overdue.
Jokingly (as I often did) I said he probably wanted to fire me. Tim immediately said “no way you’re one of the hardest workers I know”.
The entire drive back to the shop I wondered what the boss wanted. I started to get excited about getting a raise because, like I mentioned earlier, I was overdue for one by over 3 months and I could really use the extra money. .
